Saturday, December 12, 2015 - Transit, trails and transportation choice workshop

Tomorrow (Saturday 12th Dec.) at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, IN the public will discuss options and initiatives for advancing the Southern Indiana transit and transportation paradigm.  Among the many speakers, Christopher Harrell will present our "Core" idea - implementing a Community Connectivity Initiative in Jeffersonville, Clarksville, New Albany, and Louisville. Come learn about the benefits that will accrue from linking the urban core neighborhoods within each community, between, to and with adjacent municipalities.  Investment in urban pathways, bicycle + pedestrian infrastructure in concert with green infrastructure and proper lighting serves the needs from those from 8 years old to 80.  Additionally, private investment LOVES to flock to these investments as witnessed in the impacts analysis from the Indianapolis Cultural Trail - by Indiana University's Public Policy Institute. Hint: It is MORE THAN JUST A FANCY SIDEWALK!
